The Music Game: A
OK, as I mentioned in my previous blog post, I'm going to give a blog game a shot.
Here's the rules: I'll post a list of songs that begin with the specified letter ("A" and "the" don't count.) Other people can then add comments with their songs. (This game is best played with your iTunes/WMP/your music player of choice open in front of you.) In theory, people will eventually comment on everyone else's choices and we will have a discussion. In theory.
So here's my list:
"Ain't No Good," Cake
"Ain't Talkin'," Bob Dylan
"Alcohol," Barenaked Ladies
"Alibi," Tait
"All Along the Watchtower," Bob Dylan
"All My Tears," Jars of Clay
"All The Heavens," Third Day
"Am I In Sync?," Steve Taylor
"American Dream," Switchfoot
"Angry People," Barenaked Ladies
"Angry White Boy Polka," Weird Al Yankovic
"Awaken," Dethklok
Let the flamewar commence.

Is anyone surprised about the amount of Metal on my list?
I don't really like Alchohol by the Barenaked Ladies. Too darn depressing.
Ahh you got Angry White Boy Polka before I did. I love Weird Al. He's a genius.
ooh, speaking of Weird Al; how about "American Pie?"
Metal and such
My "Watchtower" is the Bob Dylan version, so it still counts. :)
Agreed, "Alcohol" is kind of depressing. Then again, BNL has a tendency to write extremely fubared satires. I suppose if I knew people like what's described in the song, I wouldn't find it funny.
"American Pie" is a really good song. I didn't think of it because I was pretty much limiting my list to my MP3 collection.
Despite at one time owning his first album on tape, my experience with Weird Al has very large holes in it. I'm not sure if I've ever heard "Addicted to Spuds."
Technically, you just drop "a" or "the" from the front of songs for the purposes of the game. So if the first word is "the" and the second begins with an "A," it would count in this list.
Since I don't have a MP3 I had to use my archiac CD collection. This list doesn't include songs from the 35 or so CDs that were stolen from my car.
"Addicted to Spuds" I got off of the Food Album. Its a parody of Robert Palmer's (?) Addicted to Drugs.
